Going to a Movie in Korea

Saturday night a few of us decided to head to the movie theater to see the new movie Thor.  Seeing a movie in Korea is a bit different from back home. I have seen a few movies and there are a few things that really stand out.

First of all, all the movie theaters have assigned seating. When you purchase a ticket, you pick your seat in the theater. This pales in comparison to the first come first serve that you see back home. I guess it has its ups and downs. If you get there early you can pick a good seat, and you don’t have to get inside too early in order to get a good seat.

Secondly, there is no central air. This is the case pretty much everywhere as air conditioning is done by small and/or large units. These units are usually very good, however you won’t always find a cold movie theater like you do back home. Even in summer back home the movie theaters are cold. Here they can be hot. During our movie Saturday night I was sweating, and I wasn’t alone. That would never happen back home.

Lastly, you can order sweet popcorn at the concession stands. It is caramel popcorn which is really good. I always get it unless I just ate dinner and I am not hungry, but I really enjoy the sweet popcorn they serve. They have butter as well for those who want that.

As for the movie, I enjoyed it. It was in 3D and it kept me interested. It wasn’t a masterpiece by any means, but anyone who expects any movie about Thor to be one will be sorely mistaken. It was good enough that I will see the sequel when it comes out as they set it up nicely for one.

Your blog is pretty interesting to me and your subject matter is very relevant. I was browsing around and came across something you might find interesting. I was guilty of 3 of them with my sites. “99% of blog managers are committing these five errors”. You will be suprised how simple they are to fix.
